{"id":41,"date":"2021-09-15T15:43:37","date_gmt":"2021-09-15T15:43:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.muwaga.com\/welcome\/?page_id=41"},"modified":"2022-01-31T22:19:05","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T22:19:05","slug":"our-constitution","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.muwaga.com\/welcome\/our-constitution\/","title":{"rendered":"MUWAGA: Our Constitution"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/www.muwaga.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG_5666-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.muwaga.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG_5666-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.muwaga.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/IMG_5666-1-300x228.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.Name<\/strong><br>The Association will be known as the Milton-under-Wychwood Allotments and Gardens Association <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.Objectives<\/strong><br><strong>a)<\/strong> To encourage all gardeners and allotment holders to cultivate and get the best from their gardens.<br><strong>b) <\/strong>To obtain favourable terms for members from garden suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.Membership<\/strong><br>Membership is open to all residents of Milton-under-Wychwood, Shipton under Wychwood and Ascott under Wychwood and others as agreed by the Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.The President<\/strong><br>The President of the Association shall be elected at an Annual General Meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.The Management Committee<\/strong><br>The management committee shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting and shall consist of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a)&nbsp;the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. These Officers shall retire after three years but shall be eligible for one further term of office.<br>b)&nbsp;five Committee members to be elected annually. All five are eligible for re-election.<br>c) up to two Committee members to be co-opted by the Committee should this be deemed necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations shall be invited for all members (other than co-opted members) and must have a proposer and seconder. Names to be submitted not less than twenty-one days before the AGM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6.General and Committee Meetings<\/strong><br>The Annual General Meeting shall normally be held in May.<br>An Extraordinary General Meeting may be called by the Committee or at the request of ten members of the Association. Thirty days\u2019 notice shall be given.<br>A Committee Meeting shall be held as required. Four Members shall form a quorum at all meetings of the Committee. Meetings will be minuted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7.Subscriptions<\/strong><br>The subscriptions shall become due on June 1st. each year.<br>The Annual rate of subscription shall be determined at the Annual General Meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8.The Accounts<\/strong><br>The financial year shall end on March 31st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9.Amendments<\/strong><br>Amendments to this Constitution shall receive the assent of two-thirds of the members present and voting at the Annual General Meeting or at an Extraordinary Meeting.
